Hip-Hop mogul Jay-Z may be in a deal with Motorola, as a pair of "JayZ" headphones were recently approved by the FCC. According to CNet.com, the JayZ headphones allow the simultaneous use of a Bluetooth audio device and a cellphone. If you're listening to music and your phone rings, you can opt to transfer the call to your headphones and when you hang up, the music resumes. While there's no official confirmation of Jay-Z's involvement in the product, the mogul, who recently placed second of Forbes listing of the richest Hip-Hop artists, also had a deal with Nokia in 2004, which resulted in the production of the Black Phone.

Hip-Hop entrepreneur Diddy is gearing up for the launch of his latest MTV reality series, “Starmaker” by holding auditions throughout the U.S. in search of talent for the show.

Expecting to give some competition to other well-known performance-based programs like “American Idol,” the MTV project will place Diddy as host and producer alongside television personality Mark Burnett as they try to find for the most talented singers in the country.

Wyclef Jean is set to appear alongside tennis superstar Venus Williams during season four of the Sundance Channel original series “Iconoclasts.”

Each hour-long episode of “Iconoclasts” pairs two leading innovators from different fields including film, sports, architecture, fashion, food, music, and business meet up to discuss their passions and creative processes.

Bail has been revoked for troubled rapper DMX following his arrest last week.

As previously reported, an Arizona judge issued a warrant for his arrest on Tuesday (August 12th) for failure to appear in court stemming from drug possession charges. The rapper, born Earl Simmons, was then spotted Thursday (August 14th) in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart in Miami, after he parked in a handicap space, and was taken in.

Scott Storch may be poised to make a come back from recent financial troubles, as the chart-topping producer has been tapped to work on Crash, an upcoming film about organized crime boss, Charles “Lucky” Luciano.

Storch will be involved with Crash in a producer capacity, along with independent record promoter Joe Isgro and his Full Force Productions, which is raising over $35 million dollars to finance the film.

Veteran West Coast producer and rapper Warren G is putting the finishing touches on his sixth solo album The G Files, which is due out in October.

In an exclusive interview with AllHipHop.com, Warren G shed light on the vision he has planned for the album.

New York, NY – After spending much of 2007 and 2008 on the top of the charts with hits such as "Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin')" and "Bartender" and as a producer and featured artist on tracks such as Flo-Rida’s “Low” and Chris Brown’s “Kiss Kiss,” T-Pain announced today that Jive Records will release his third studio album Thr33 Ringz in Fall 2008. With Thr33 Ringz, he is set to show everyone that he is the ring leader and, in true T-Pain fashion, he is bringing a few of his friends along for the ride.

Former Hip Hop mogul Master P has completed his image makeover with a name change and the announcement to create his own cable television channel. P's reinvention of himself as Percy Miller, his birth name, was announced earlier this week via a press release, and the creation of his Better Black Television network would seem to signal the end of the old Master P.

"I believe that there is a market in our community for a new diverse network that provides a new brand of superior programming that caters to all aspects of television, from reality to original programming," Miller tells the Hollywood Reporter. "We believe TV content can be positive and responsible and still have good ratings with great content."

Rapper Pharoahe Monch is launching a seven-city tour of Europe starting today (August 15) in Belgium. Monch will make high profile appearances at a number of festivals taking place across Europe, including the Hip-Hop Kemp Festival in Prague and the Royal Arena Festival in Switzerland, where tens of thousands of Hip-Hop fans will gather to celebrate rap music. “Europe has always felt like a home away from home for me,” Pharoahe Monch said in a statement. “Everytime I perform out there, I get nothing but love from those who know and appreciate the art of true classic hip-hop.” Pharoahe Monch is working on Let My People Go, the follow up to his 2007 sophomore release, Desire.

Lil’ Wayne and Yung Berg were both due in Manhattan Criminal Court this morning to face gun charges.

As previously reported Yung Berg was arrested in New York City on the morning of Saturday August 9th. The rapper (born Christian Ward) was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of marijuana and menacing after a limo driver filed a complaint with the NYPD.

VH1 announced earlier today that Cypress Hill, Naughty By Nature, Slick Rick, De La Soul and Too $hort will all be honored at the fifth annual “VH1 Hip Hop Honors,” hosted again by comedian Tracy Morgan.

Executive Vice President and General Manager of VH1, Tom Calderone said, “Now in its fifth year, the ‘VH1 Hip Hop Honors’ has come to represent the pinnacle of innovation and achievement in hip hop music. This year’s five honorees are no different and are being recognized for their significant contributions to hip hop culture and for helping to elevate hip hop into a truly global phenomenon.”

Former Crime Mob member Diamond has inked a new deal with Warner Bros Records that will place the Atlanta rapper in a number of endorsement, TV and film opportunities, to set up her debut solo album in 2009. In addition to her new deal, Diamond has secured new management in Bryan Leach of Polo Grounds Music, as well as Amy Johnson and Keke Smith of Cookies & Milk.

“I'm so excited about my new solo deal with Warner, it's been a long time coming,” Diamond told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “It’s important for me to give my fans the Diamond they already know, but to also give them something new from me.”

Houston rapper Trae The Truth has expressed regret for striking fellow neighborhood rapper Mike Jones earlier in the week, but the apology wasn’t directed to his adversary.

“I have to take the time out to apologize to the kids, and to anyone who follows and supports my career for what happened at the Ozone Awards this past Monday night,” Trae said in a statement.

Multi-platinum rapper Jay-Z continues his precedent-setting business deals as he is currently in talks to sell a stake of his popular 40/40 Las Vegas nightclub for an estimated $44 million.

According to The New York Post, the iconic hip-hop superstar is currently speaking with Las Vegas Sands Corporation in regards to offering them a 50 percent stake of the club. An insider told The Post the deal could make Jay’s night spot a global attraction.
