Diddy On Bringing Ma$e Back To Bad Boy, "We've Spoken"

Confirming recent reports that Ma$e has reached out to him, Diddy discussed the possibility of his former protege returning to the Bad Boy label.

Puff said the Harlem, New York-bred emcee has requested his guidance.

"With the future of Bad Boy I definitely think it's time for me to really come up with a game plan because a lot of things have changed. I got a great legacy that I have to protect. I don't want to sign anything new right now. I'm not making anything new. I just want to come up with a game plan that works for the future of Bad Boy. It could [include Ma$e]. Mase has called me," Diddy said. "We've spoken. He's basically said, 'Just keep your eye on me. Making this switch, I gotta kinda bear this cross myself for a second. Just watch what I do.' I said, 'I've seen.' He's definitely one of the dopest emcees to ever touch the game. People can't deny that. He's one of the most successful. I've seen people come back from different things in this game. I said, 'Yeah. Without a doubt, I'll keep my eye on you.' I spoke to him today. He's out there working." (MTV)

After years of being at odds, Dipset leader Cam'ron recently spoke on his reunion with Mase and the rapper's aim to get a new record deal.

"I just did a song with Mase. Mase is my man, I wish him the best of luck," Cam said in an interview. "I hope everything work out for him. Right now, he's trying to figure his deal out. So whenever that gets situated, I hope that works out for him. If it works out [we'll do a show together]. If it makes sense. I'm not into doing stuff just to do it. If it makes sense then yeah, definitely." (Hip Hop Beef)

Mase hinted at a new music deal which required Diddy's cooperation and may involve his former Bad Boy home earlier this summer.

"We chilling, we chilling, we chilling," Mase said in an on-street video interview. "We're up here to make the deal go through. After we make the deal go through then we're gonna talk to TMZ. Aight? I thought y'all was slam cammin' me...After I talk to Puff, I'll be back to see you." (TMZ)

G-Unit's Tony Yayo recently spoke on Mase and Cam's reunion and why the rapper never signed with 50 Cent.

"Shout-out to Mase and all that," Yayo said in an interview. "I think that's cool they reconciled their differences, it is what it is. That's what people wanna see now...I really can't speak on [the contact] 'cause that was 50 and Diddy thing. That was a money thing. They was negotiating some millions -- they cool now. They under the same management." (Vlad TV)
