Jay-Z Rolls "Loso's Way" In Fabolous' New Music Vid 'Money Goes. Honey Stay'

Jay-Z has continued his support for Fabolous' Loso's Way album by not only appearing on one of the featured tracks, but showcasing his acting skills in the new "When The Money Goes" music video.

Offering a brief conversation between Jay and Fab's characters in a luxury car, the video shows Hov giving the rapper some advice regarding an unnamed female associate.

"So you good," Jay asks Fab in the video. "You took care of all the last minute, details, you know, whatever you had to take care of on the business end. That is what it is, you know, you should just focus on doing what you gotta do because sometimes the best way to see a person is not at 'em. Right? [laughs] And if you're looking at 'em, you be on your best behavior, so, she should be all right though. (YouTube) F-a-b-o previously spoke with SOHH about snagging Jay for his album and, in particular, the "When The Money Goes" track.

"Actually, it got leaked and it was a version with Jay only rapping on it and it's called, 'When The Money Goes,' Fabolous explained. "Jay had recorded something to it, I guess what you hear on the leak, for American Gangster and I don't think it made the final cut so he had reached out to me, knowing that I was working on this project and knowing the theme of what I was trying to put together and said, 'Yo, I got a record that might fit in to play.' So, when he brought the record to the table it did. I re-vocaled it. Jay is just on the hook as far as that, it was his idea for the hook." (SOHH)

He later explained the significance behind the record's concept.

"It's a joint about when you're doing your thing and everything is good all the time and the ladies are rolling with that but lets say those things change and the sun wasn't shining as well, would the honey be around then," Fab explained about his collaboration with Jay. "[Him being Def Jam president] definitely influenced our relationship. Of course we had seen each other in passing of course throughout the years but now with him being president we developed a different kind of relationship, you know what I mean? An artist-to-president relationship and also an artist-to-artist relationship as well because we've collaborated twice since then, so I think it was dope. And I always been a fan of Jay's music so it's a good thing." (Bootleg Kev)

Fab recently described his relationship with the fellow Brooklyn, New York-based emcee.

"Me and Jay built a connection through Def Jam," Fab said in an interview. "Through working together executive to artist, we built a different relationship as well. Maybe artist to artist we was in a little different space. You didn't know where each other was at. We work well. When I needed help with the [new] album and I was reaching out for people for joints for the album, he was one of the people that was like, 'Hear this.'...We got a connection. He's from Brooklyn, I'm from Brooklyn -- that's enough of a connection right there...We came up with the songs first...I made the songs to the scenario I thought of. Then I wrote a story [for a film]. Even when I was writing the story, I could hear certain songs coming up in those scenarios, in those scenes. That's why it meshed well." (MTV)
