Snoop Dogg Taps R.Kelly, Soulja Boy & Gucci Mane For "Malice In Wonderland"

Details surrounding Snoop Dogg's upcoming Malice In Wonderland album have landed online that show the West Coast rap veteran linking with R.Kelly, Soulja Boy Tell Em, Gucci Mane and more for the new project.

According to an exclusive listening session with VIBE, the rapper has hooked up with a variety of artists for the solo album.

The selective track list--the project consists of a lean but filling 12 songs--includes contributions from R. Kelly, Soulja Boy, Lil Jon, Gucci Mane, Brandy and Pharrell. True to its title, the album's sound and content are paradoxical, with Snoop at times rapping thuggery to Terrance Martin's gun-click sound effects ("2 Minute Warning") and elsewhere dedicating whole songs to his wife, Shante (the happy and sappy "Different Languages," with Jazmine Sullivan). The West Coast legend also pays homage to California's next generation. He gives a nod to Los Angeles' burgeoning jerk dance moment with the Scoop Deville-produced "Wanna Rock," and passes the baton to young'uns Problem and Nipsey Hussle on "Upside Down." (VIBE) Dogg previously announced plans to launch a 16-date nationwide tour in support of the upcoming album last spring.

Snoop Dogg will hit the road this spring for a series of concerts in the Southern regions of the United States. The rapper kicks off his gigs May 1 in Jackson, MS with a scheduled stop at Manchester, TN's Bonnaroo Festival. The tour stops include a May 17 date in Hilton Head, SC. The hip-hop icon is scheduled to release his next studio album later this year. Dogg will follow his U.S. tour this May with another leg of dates in July and August. (All Headline News) Snoop recently mended his issues with Soulja Boy, who is featured on the album, and paid homage to the rap newcomer.

"N*ggas was always hatin' on a n*gga when he come out," Snoop said in a video. "They hate on everybody. But when you see a n*gga really know what he doing and it's your craft and you come hit after hit after hit, n*gga can't do nothing but say 'Man, I'm sorry for hating on you, you'se a real n*gga. You hear to stay.' Soulja Boy, we come from two different worlds, we different generations and what not, but we come together right now to unite and show love -- I apologize for all the hate that I had towards Soulja Boy, towards what he was doing in the beginning of his career -- as a man, what I understand what this man is and what else he's doing and how he's doing what he's doing, I support him, wrap my arms around him and love him. And I give him the same love I give my family members. So it's all about bridging the gap and showing love." (Kido Teck Music) Aside from the album, Snoop was recently named the new Creative Chairman of EMI Music's Priority Records.

As Creative Chairman of Priority, the label that established West Coast Rap as an influential musical force, Snoop will re-launch the legacy of Priority and will drive efforts to maximize untapped digital and branding opportunities at the label. He will also serve as Executive Producer for a new series of Priority releases slated to begin hitting the market next year to commemorate the label's 25th anniversary. Priority's genre-defining catalog includes classic recordings by Snoop, as well as from N.W.A, Eazy-E, Master P, Ice Cube, Westside Connection, EPMD and others. (Press Release)

A confirmed release date for Malice In Wonderland has not yet been announced.
