T.I.P.
"Big Shit Poppin'" has T.I.P. talking right away telling T.I., "Aight T.I., I'ma show you how to do this son." "Big Shit Poppin'" is a perfect jump-off single. It's not a club joint to where it'll get stuck in the clubs and nowhere else, and it's not a ladies joint. T.I.P. just spitting straight anthem , attitude type ish. It doesn't hurt T.I.P. also that "Big Shit Poppin'" has been picked up on SportsCenter as the theme to "Who's Now." T.I.P.'s other single, "You Know What It Is" featuring Wyclef Jean is that swag/club joint. It's too bad that the beat is in the slower tempo and kind of loses a little steam. "Da Dopeman" is a real simple track with T.I.P. trying to prove he still in the hood ready to sell that dope. "Watch What You Say" featuring Jay-Z has T.I.P. and Jay taking shots at not named others. With a smooth bass guitar and T.I.P.'s hot hook driving the track, Jay kills his verse (rumor has it Jay is spitting at Lil Wayne). "Hurt" produced by Timbo co-produced Danja is another one of those T.I.P. attitude joints. Hard hook with a good verse from feature Busta Rhymes. T.I. "Help Is Coming" is the perfect transition track. "Help" moves T.I.P. out the way so T.I. can take over. With Just Blaze gracing us with his presence, T.I. tries to prove he's the better side of the ego. Although "Help" is strong, the T.I. side lacks, and is very inconsistent. "My Swag" is rather boring, "We Do This" sounds like it should have been on the T.I.P. side. "Show It To Me" featuring suddenly back in the game Nelly is also somewhat a disappointment. "Don't You Wanna Be High" has a cool feel and pulls the T.I. mood back and "Touch Down" featuring a love/hate Eminem production and verse adds reality to T.I. The Confrontation The Confrontation is the best part of "T.I. Vs T.I.P." because this is where T.I. or T.I.P., whichever is dominant takes over. "Tell 'Em I Said It" is a straight fire Danja track as is "Respect This Hustle." T.I. brings all his skills to work on both tracks proving why he deserves people's attention. "My Type" has a real smooth piano that sucks you right in. You feel T.I.'s pain. | |||||||||||
