Twista Takes Label/Album To EMI/Capitol

Chi-Town's Twista is prepping the release of his next album, Category F5, and will embark on a new journey due to a newly signed deal with EMI. This deal sends his Get Money Gang Entertainment label to EMI for this newly formed partnership. The new album is already being talked about as a highly anticipated LP.

"We are very pleased to be in business with EMI and Capitol," Twista noted through a statement. "I am excited about being independent again but having the resources of a major."

Twista will be getting assistance from a variety of producers including Toxic, The Legendary Traxster, Jim Jonsin, The Tastemakers, Streetrunner and GoodWill. More assistance will come from rappers and singers Kanye West, Akon, Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe, Tech N9ne, Static Major all of whom are scheduled to appear on this latest effort, which he says will prove that his motivation has not gone missing.

"The hustle never stops. Over the last couple of years, I've just been thinking about what the fans want from me. And that was motivation enough to bring out another classic album," he added.

The album is currently slated for release June 16, 2009.

The first song released from this album will be "Wetter" and the second will be "Birthday." Both videos will be shot this weekend (Friday February 27 and Saturday February 28) at 8:45am CST.
