Having recently teamed to launch a new music label, Warner Bros. and industry executive Stan Sheppard have announced plans to enlist some of the biggest names in hip-hop and R&B in an anti-gang campaign.
Akon, Lil' Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Kurupt and Ice Cube have all signed on to create music for Bangin...The Big Lie...Pain, Pride & Destruction, the first compilation CD in the series scheduled for release through the new deal. Bangin is set for release this September, with all sale proceeds going directly to Amer-I-Can/Unity One Foundation for Social Change, an anti-gang organization.

Sheppard, who is directing the promotional and marketing campaign for the project, has also announced plans to simultaneously release three singles from the album, "What's Goin On" by Snoop Dogg & Akon; "Get Off Me" by Kurupt and "The Ghetto" by Lil' Wayne.
Amer-I-Can/Unity One Foundation is dedicated to stopping gang violence between African-American and Latino gang members, both in prisons and on the streets. The organization also offers life skills training to its members. Amer-I-Can supporters include Magic Johnson, Harry Belafonte, George Foreman, Spike Lee, James Ingram, Bill Russell and Denzel Washington. Sohh.com
