While The Lox as a whole has been through a lot, and we're still waiting for Styles P sophomore album(due before Sheek's), Sheek's album under Koch is here. While with much, if not any promotion, "After Taxes" is here, and Sheek is ready to prove he's not just the 3rd best in The Lox. "Kiss Your Ass Goodbye," the first single, featuring Beanie Sigel(beef's over), T.I., and Fabolous is probaly one of the hottest singles in a minute. Sheek keeps up with the G-Unit, 50 Cent dissing with, "Maybe I Should Sing." Opening the song with, "50 you a rat, you a coward, you a snitch." While Sheek doesn't hit with huge "disses," the hook sells the diss.

"Street Music" opens after a rather good "Intro," Sheek keeps The Lox feel going. "On the Road Again," has Sheek spitting about various topics going around, keeping things interesting. Sheek's 50 bash hit's again on the 2nd verse. "50 get mad, came out with Piggybank/That's probaly the best song on there." "Pain" featuring Jadakiss, is a good track. Sheek spiting, "You think I by myself, think I'm bitch," has nice feel. The hook, kind of watered, nothing to special.
"45 Minutes to Broadway" has Sheek bringing everything to the table. A very catchy beat, with a little voice sample under Sheek, even moves the track well. '45 Minutes' has Sheek spitting to the ladies, but still being thugged. "One Name" featuring Carl Thomas is the first, so-so track. With Sheek trying to be, "grown-and-sexy," the track doesn't move right. "Devine" featuring J Hood has a so-so beat, one of the only second guessed beat section on "After Taxes."
"Run Up" featuring Styles P. is 'ok,' beats' desent. The piano is simple, but Sheek and Styles easily push the track. "Get Up Stand Up" featuring Redman moves nicely, hard piano started beat, that knocks. 'Get Up is anthem track with Sheek on the hook, and a stellar verse from Redman. "Pressure" is on the jazz feel, has Sheek spitting soft-spoken, and having good feel. "All Fed Up" is Sheek getting at his wife for taking his kids, and just being exactly the title, "All Fed Up." While the track feels good, it's the same, cheating getting caught wifey trouble.
"Movie Niggas" featuring Ghostface Killah is soul sample driven with Sheek being the hood feel. Ghostface hit's the hook soft-spoken under Sheek shouting. Ghost's verse is 'ok,' comes off good. "Get Money" featuring Jadakiss is a filler added just because of feature of Jada. This track should have been thrown out. Lastly, "Kiss Your Ass Goodbye" the original featuring Styles P. finishes off a well balanced, straight spit album from Sheek.
While Sheek's skills continue to improve, his album is flooded with maybe just too many tracks. While mixtapes are great for being at or over 20, albums shouldn't hit 20(w/ skits). Sheek's strong tracks do out way the so-so one's. "After Taxes" is quality, but with limit exposure(Koch Records) Sheek won't get the much needed time, or mainstream appeal.
