Ben J and Legacy of The New Boyz will join multi-platinum recording artist Chris Brown on an 18-city North American Tour.
When �You�re A Jerk� hit the internet earlier this summer, the group had no idea how fast the song would pick up. Within days of uploading, youth across the country were recording hundreds of videos imitating the fancy footwork prompting other viewers to virally one-up their cyber counterparts with their own videos.
The song eventually made its way into the Top 5 on the Billboard music charts and garnered over a million views for the video�s Music Choice debut in its first week (the 2nd highest in the VOD network�s history)�not bad for two teens who initially recorded the song in their closet. Tour-mate Chris Brown even got in on the action uploading acrobatic videos with jerk dancing associates Scooter �Lil Scoot� Smiff and Mijo.

Their current single �Tie Me Down� featuring Ray J just landed the #2 debut at radio and is currently #1 at Music Choice with over 1.6 million orders to date.
The recent graduates have become the ambassadors of this counter-culture marked by loud colors and form-fitting garb, most notably their notorious skinny jeans. �This is us. We�re showing a different side of hip-hop and a different style from the West Coast. We�ve never been worried about the haters or critics,� says Ben J.
Their debut album Skinny Jeanz & A Mic was released September 15th on Asylum/Warner Bros. Records and chronicles the life and experiences of normal, carefree teenagers. �People think we only do jerk music, but we do a whole lot of everything,� says Legacy. �The album is about having fun and the typical teenage life. Olivia Reflects On Leaving G-Unit

Former G-Unit member Olivia recently discussed her departure from 50 Cent's camp and where she stands with remaining members Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo.

Aside from the Unit, Olivia also touched up on her big screen movie acting roles.

"It was really just a bunch of politics, 50 and I had the same manager," Olivia explained in an interview. "We always had conflicts with him bringing back information on me or him bringing in information on him. There was no R&B present at the labels; there wasn't any at Violator or at G-Unit. 50 really had to do everything himself. He doesn't know about R&B...I still talk to Banks and Yayo all the time. Sha Money is my big brother. Fif and I haven't spoken. We both tried to reach out to each other and it didn't work out. It's all cool though. Everything is fine...The three movies are ready...The first movie we did was called Peephole. The last one we shot was called Conspiracy X with Shawn Baker as the director. Kellita Smith is in that one, it's a great movie. It's about a guy who just got out of jail and he's trying to get back on his feet. He ends up running his own clothing company. Somebody tries to frame him and that is why it's called Conspiracy X. I'm just happy to be able to get into new things and pursue different endeavors." (All Hip Hop)

The former KING Magazine covergirl recently said she has been able to return to her R&B roots since cutting ties with the Unit.

"I've been doing movies, y'all, finishing the album, I've been touring overseas, it's been a whole lot that y'all haven't seen me doing but the people who have been following me online checking out where I've been, they know what's up," Olivia said in an interview. "I've been working even though y'all don't think I've been working...When I was on G-Unit, I had to conform to what was on G-Unit, so I couldn't come out with R&B records because I was with a bunch of rappers so now I get to do exactly what I want to do and you get to hear me really sing, but again, for the people that come to my live shows, they see what I do...I'm no longer with G-Unit, I'm back solo." Olivia emerged over the summer to deny rumors of having sexual relationships with Young Buck and Maino.

"Y'all are in so much trouble with me now," she said jokingly. "That is so it, I'm not your girlfriend anymore, Whoo Kid. I denounce it son. [laughs] I'm not messing with y'all. Y'all done had your Fourth of July parade. What's funny is that I actually was just checking my Twitter page real quick and one of the girls forwarded the message that you sent and said you was looking for me and when I seen the caption that Maino is looking for Olivia, I said 'Ah here Whoo Kid go.' ... Get the h*ll outta here about [me and Buck rumors]. Please. Y'all are the worst yo. I miss y'all retards, yo. Nah come on, get outta here. You know better than that Whoo Kid 'cause you were always with me. Don't act like we weren't in the casino and got ran up on by Buck 'cause he's mad we over there shooting dice and he's holding our phones. [Mase], that's my boy. 50 announced Olivia's departure from G-Unit around spring 2007 on the now defunct "Miss Jones in the Morning" radio show.

"Yeah, there was just so many miscommunications going on with the actual project," Fif said about releasing Olivia from his label. "That it frustrated me to the point, that I felt like I gotta focus on 50 Cent." ("Miss Jones In The Morning")

DMX Reportedly Drops Celebrity Boxing Match

New reports suggest rapper DMX has withdrawn himself from an upcoming celebrity boxing match next month against fighter Eric Martinez.

Unnamed sources have shared mixed reasons to why X allegedly decided to not participate in the fight.

One source said DMX pulled out of the fight because his safety could not be guaranteed, while another claimed that the rapper backed out because Thunder Promotions refused his request to "fix" the fight. Sources stated that Thunder Promotions may pursue legal action against DMX. In the meantime another, a variety of popular rappers have been contacted to stand up to Eric Martinez during the fight and that a replacement for DMX could be announced as early as next week. X previously spoke on his anticipation to fight at the event during a radio interview last month.

"We got a phone call asking if I wanted to participate in it," X said about how the opportunity presented itself. "I'm just gonna walk in as it is man, you know what I mean? It wouldn't be fair if I trained. I think it's three two-minute rounds...[My opponent] is shorter than me and I think he weighs a little more than me. I'm 175, six feet. I got a little build on me, you know what I'm saying? I've seen him, yeah I've seen him. He's a nice guy -- when I agreed to it, I didn't know it was gonna be him...I'm going to pick one of my own songs [to walk out with.] 'What's My Name.' I'm in the studio everyday banging joints out -- I got the pens and the paper. [New album] hopefully first quarter." (106.7 The Fan)

Reports landed online in September which had X headlined for the fight.

Thunder Promotions recently announced that Alabama Pride: Butterbean vs. Tank Abbott is set to take place on December 12 at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex in Birmingham, Alabama. Headlining the event is a heavyweight match-up between Butterbean and Tank Abbott. Thunder Promotions also announced is a celebrity fight between co-headliners rapper DMX and musician Eric Martinez. X was set to face-off against undefeated fighter Martinez.

The rapper will make his MMA debut at Alabama Pride from the fine people who brought congenital amputee, Kyle Bradley's, first MMA fight. DMX will fight Eric Martinez (1-0). The event is scheduled for December 12th in Birmingham, Alabama. (The Rumble)
